What It Is

A curl set into the lash itself

A lash lift reshapes the keratin structure inside each natural lash so the hair holds an upward curl on its own. Nothing is added and nothing is glued on — the lashes you already have are simply lifted from the root and pointed up instead of straight out.

On straight or downward-growing lashes the difference is dramatic. Lashes that used to disappear against the lid suddenly sit in view, which makes the eye look larger and more open. It is the closest thing to a permanent curler, and it survives sleep, swimming, and the gym once the first day has passed.

Who a lift suits best

Clients with reasonable natural lash length who want a low-commitment result, anyone taking a break between sets of extensions, and people who simply do not want a fill appointment every two to three weeks.

The Appointment

What happens in the chair

  1. 01

    Mapping the curl

We look at your natural lash length and the shape of your eye, then choose a silicone shield size. The shield size is what controls the curl — a smaller shield gives a tighter, more dramatic lift, a larger one gives a soft, open sweep. Getting this choice right is the whole service.

  2. 02

    Lifting

Your lashes are combed up onto the shield and a lifting lotion is applied to the mid-lengths. It softens the keratin bonds inside each lash so the hair can hold a new shape. Your eyes stay closed the entire time and nothing touches the waterline.

  3. 03

    Setting

A setting lotion re-forms those bonds in the lifted position, locking in the curl. If you have added a tint, it goes on at this stage while the lashes are already up and open.

  4. 04

    Nourishing

We finish with a conditioning serum to rehydrate the lashes after processing, then comb everything into place. You walk out with the finished result — there is no downtime and no settling period.

Aftercare

The first 24 hours matter most

Almost every disappointing lash lift comes down to what happened on day one. The new bonds need time to harden — protect them for 24 hours and the curl will hold for the full six to eight weeks.

  1. 01

Keep lashes dry for 24 hours

The new bonds are still setting. Water, steam, sweat, and humidity in the first day can relax the curl before it has locked in, so skip swimming, saunas, hot yoga, and long steamy showers.

  2. 02

    No mascara on day one

Give it a full 24 hours. After that, mascara is fine — though most clients find they stop reaching for it, which is rather the point.

  3. 03

Do not rub or sleep face-down

Pressing your lashes flat against a pillow while the curl is fresh can crease them. Sleeping on your back or side for the first night or two protects the shape.

  4. 04

    Condition your lashes

A lash serum or a light conditioning oil applied at night keeps the hair strong and glossy between treatments. Healthy lashes hold a lift noticeably better than dry, brittle ones.

  5. 05

    Wait 6–8 weeks between lifts

Lifting the same hair too soon over-processes it and leaves lashes dry and brittle. Waiting the full cycle protects your natural lashes and produces a better result each time.

Before you arrive

Arrive with no eye makeup, mascara, or oil-based products. Clean lashes mean a longer-lasting set and a smoother appointment.

How It Works

From booking to lifted lashes in four steps

  1. Step 1

    Book your appointment

Book the lift on its own at $120, or with a tint at $140 — the pairing most clients choose. If you are not sure your lashes are long enough to lift, a $30 consultation is credited toward the service.

  2. Step 2

    Choosing the curl

We look at your natural lash length and the shape of your eye, then pick the silicone shield size. Shield size is what controls the curl, so this one choice decides the whole result.

  3. Step 3

    Your treatment

Lashes are combed onto the shield, lifted, and set, with the tint going on while they are already up and open. Your eyes stay closed the entire time and nothing touches the waterline.

  4. Step 4

    Aftercare & rebooking

Keep them dry for 24 hours and that is the entire aftercare — no fills, no oil-free routine. Results hold 6–8 weeks, so we book the next lift as your lashes grow out of the curl.

Before you book

Come with clean lashes
Arrive with no eye makeup, mascara, or oil-based products. A lift will not take evenly on lashes with residue on them.
Not sure a lift will work? Book a consultation
First-timers can start with a $30 consultation to map the right look. The fee is nonrefundable but credited toward your service.
24-hour cancellation policy
Please give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Appointments canceled, rescheduled, or missed with less than 24 hours notice are charged 100% of the scheduled service total.
Leave 6–8 weeks between lifts
Lifting the same lashes before they have grown out over-processes them. If your last lift was recent, book far enough ahead that the hair has recovered.

Questions

Lash lift and tint questions

What clients ask before booking their first lift, answered straight.

How long does a lash lift last?

A lash lift lasts 6–8 weeks. Because the curl is set into the hair itself, it does not fade or drop gradually — it simply grows out as your natural lashes shed and are replaced on their own cycle.

How much does a lash lift cost in Huntington Beach?

A lash lift is $120, or $140 with a lash tint added. A lash tint on its own is $80. A 30-minute consultation is available for $30, which is credited toward your service.

Should I add a tint to my lash lift?

Most clients do, and $140 for the pair is our most popular booking. The lift creates the curl and opens the eye, but the tips of natural lashes are often much lighter than the roots — so once they are lifted into view, pale tips can make the lift look less dramatic than it is. A tint darkens them and makes the whole lash line read as fuller.

Is a lash lift better than extensions?

It depends on what you want. A lift works with the lashes you already have — no added length or volume, no fills, and no oil restrictions after the first day. Extensions add real length and density but need a fill every 2–3 weeks. If you have decent natural lash length and want low maintenance, choose the lift. If you want noticeably longer, fuller lashes, choose extensions.

Does a lash lift damage your natural lashes?

Not when it is done correctly and not repeated too often. The processing time is matched to your lash thickness and condition, and we finish with a conditioning serum. Damage comes from over-processing — leaving lotion on too long, or re-lifting the same hair before it has had time to recover, which is why we hold to the 6–8 week gap.

Can I get a lash lift if I wear extensions?

Not at the same time. A lift needs to bond with your bare natural lashes, so any extensions have to come off first. Many clients use a lift as a break between sets of extensions.

Are my lashes long enough for a lift?

Very short lashes have too little length to wrap onto the shield and hold a curl. If you are unsure, send us a photo or book a $30 consultation and we will tell you honestly before you pay for the service.

Does a lash lift hurt?

No. It is completely non-invasive and pain-free. Your eyes stay closed throughout and no product touches your eye itself. Most clients find the appointment relaxing.
